				بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
	1236 544 6105 3362 691(1106), 1719(2529) 9:1			Freedom from obligations has been decreed by God and His messenger for those who have a treaty with you from amongst those who set up partners for god.
				فَسِيحُوا فِي الأرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَفِرِينَ
	1237 545 6106 3363 287 692(1107,1108), 1720(2530,2531) 9:2			Therefore, roam the land for four months and remember that you are certainly unable to defeat God and that indeed God humiliates the unfaithful.
				وَأَذَانٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الأكْبَرِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُهُ فَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
	1238 546 6107 3364 288 693(1109,1110,1111), 1721(2532,2533,2534) 9:3			And a proclamation from God and His messenger to the people on the day of the great pilgrimage that indeed God has disowned those who set up partners for god and so has His messenger.  Therefore, if you repent it would be better for you but if you turn away, you shall know that you can never defeat God. And give the unfaithful the news of a most painful suffering.
				إِلا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْقُصُوكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يُظَاهِرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَى مُدَّتِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
	1239 547 6108 3365 694(1112), 1722(2535) 9:4			Exempted are those who have a treaty with you from amongst those who set up partners for god, but they never break their treaty and do not band together with anyone against you, then you shall fulfill the interim of your treaty.  Indeed God loves those who are god-fearing.
				فَإِذَا انْسَلَخَ الأشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَوةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1240 548 6109 3366 695(1113), 1723(2536) 289 9:5			Therefore, when the sacred months are over, you shall kill those who set up partners for god wherever you find them and take them captive and besiege them and keep a close eye on them. However, if they repent and observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity, then you shall leave them alone. Indeed God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ كَلامَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لا يَعْلَمُونَ
	1241 549 6110 3367 696(1114), 1724(2537) 9:6			And if any one of those who set up partners for god sought refuge with you, you shall grant him refuge and let him hear the word of God then you shall see him off to safety. This is because they are indeed people who do not know.
				كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِ إِلا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ فَمَا اسْتَقَامُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
	1242 550 6111 3368 697(1115,1116), 1725(2538,2539) 290 9:7			Those who have set up partners for god could enter into a treaty with God and His messenger, only if they do so at the Sacred Mosque. Therefore, if they honor their part of the treaty, so shall you.  Indeed God loves those who are god-fearing.
				كَيْفَ وَإِنْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لا يَرْقُبُوا فِيكُمْ إِلا وَلا ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُمْ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَى قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَسِقُونَ
	1243 551 6112 3369 9:8			How could there be any treaty when they have the upper hand they never keep their oath, or their promise. They only offer lip service while deep in their hearts, they never mean it and most of them are wicked.
				اشْتَرَوْا بِآيَتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا فَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
	1244 552 6113 3370 698(1117), 1726(2540) 9:9			They traded God's proofs for a cheap price and repelled from His path. Indeed evil is what they practiced.
				لا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلا وَلا ذِمَّةً وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ
	1245 553 6114 3371 9:10			They never respect a person of faith and do not keep their oath or their promise.  And they are transgressors.
				فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلوةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَوةَ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَنُفَصِّلُ الآيَتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
	1246 554 6115 3372 291 9:11			However, if they repent and observe the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity, then they are your brethren in faith.  We thus explain the signs for people who are knowledgeable.
				وَإِنْ نَكَثُوا أَيْمَنَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ فَقَاتِلُوا أَئِمَّةَ الْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لا أَيْمَانَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنْتَهُونَ
	1247 555 6116 3373 9:12			And if they break their oath after they have entered into a treaty, and slander your faith, then you shall fight the leaders of infidelity, for indeed their oath is null and void, unless they refrain.
				أَلا تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَكَثُوا أَيْمَنَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا بِإِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُمْ بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَخْشَوْهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِين
	1248 556 6117 3374 699(1118), 1727(2541) 292 9:13			Why should you not fight the people who have violated their oath and did their utmost to evict the messenger; furthermore they were the ones who started it in the first place? Do you fear them? It is God that you should fear if you are faithful.
				قَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنْصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ
	1249 557 6118 3375 700(1119), 1728(2542) 9:14			You shall fight them, for God will punish them at your hands, and humiliate them and will help you to overcome them and heal the mind of the faithful.
				وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1250 558 6119 3376 701(1120,1121), 1729(2543,2544) 9:15			And the rage will be removed from their hearts; and God accepts the repentance from whomever He wills, for God is All Knower, All Wise.
				أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تُتْرَكُوا وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلا رَسُولِهِ وَلا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
	1251 559 6120 3377 702(1122,1123,1124), 1730(2545,2546,2547) 9:16			Did you think that you would be left alone without God distinguishing those amongst you who strive and do not take any ally beside God and His messenger and the faithful? Remember that God is All Cognizant of whatever you do.
				مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يَعْمُرُوا مَسَجِدَ اللَّهِ شَاهِدِينَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ بِالْكُفْرِ أُولَئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَلُهُمْ وَفِي النَّارِ هُمْ خَلِدُونَ
	1252 560 6121 3378 703(1125), 1731(2548) 293 9:17			It is not to be for those who set up partners for god to contribute to the renovation of God's Mosques while they are confessing their disbelief. These are the ones who have nullified their works and they will abide in Hell forever.
				إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلوةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَوةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلا اللَّهَ فَعَسَى أُولَئِكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
	1253 561 6122 3379 704(1126,1127,1128), 1732(2549,2550,2551)  9:18			The renovation of God's Mosques is only reserved for those who believe in God and the Last Day and they uphold the contact prayer and give the cleansing charity and do not fear but God. Therefore, these are the ones who will soon be among the guided ones.
				أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ الْحَاجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَجَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لا يَسْتَوُونَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّلِمِينَ
	1254 562 6123 3380 705(1129,1130,1131,1132), 1733(2552,2553,2554, 2555) 294 9:19			Did you equate watering the pilgrims and the renovation of the Sacred Mosque to belief in God and the Last Day and striving in the cause of God? No they are not equal in the site of God. Moreover, God does not guide the transgressing people.
				الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَجَرُوا وَجَهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَلِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
	1255 563 6124 3381 706(1133,1134), 1734(2556,2557) 9:20			The faithful who emigrated and strove in the cause of God with their money and their lives possess higher ranks in the site of God.  Moreover, these are the victorious ones.
				يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَرِضْوَانٍ وَجَنَّتٍ لَهُمْ فِيهَا نَعِيمٌ مُقِيمٌ
	1256 564 6125 3382 9:21			Their Lord gives them the good news of mercy from Him and approval and paradises reserved for them full of bliss forever.
				خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
	1257 565 6126 3383 707(1135), 1735(2558) 9:22			They abide therein eternally. Indeed God possesses at His disposal a tremendous reward.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَنَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الإيمَنِ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّلِمُونَ
	1258 566 6127 3384 295 9:23			O you faithful; do not take your parents and your siblings as allies if they love disbelief instead of faith.  And whoever takes them as allies from amongst you; then they are unjust.
				قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَرَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَسِقِينَ
	1259 567 6128 3385 708(1136,1137,1138), 1736(2559,2560,2561)  9:24			Say; if your parents, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives, the money you have earned and the business you fear to lose and the homes so pleasing to you are more beloved to you than God and His messenger and striving in His cause, then wait until God issues His command.  And God never guides the wicked people.
				لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْكُمْ شَيْئًا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الأرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُمْ مُدْبِرِينَ
	1260 568 6129 3386 709(1139), 1737(2562) 9:25			Indeed God gave you many victories in different territories, however, on the day of Hunain you became deluded with your great number, but it did not help you in the least and you lost vast territories and then you had to retreat.
				ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ جُنُودًا لَمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَفِرِينَ
	1261 569 6130 3387 710(1140), 1738(2563) 9:26			Afterwards, God sent down peaceful slumber upon His messenger and upon the faithful and sent down invisible armies and punished the unfaithful. And such is the requital for the unfaithful.
				ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1262 570 6131 3388 711(1141,1142), 1739(2564,2565) 9:27			Thereafter, God accepted the repentance of whomever He willed. And God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَذَا وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1263 571 6132 3389 712(1143,1144), 1740(2566,2567) 9:28			O you faithful, indeed those who set up partners for god are impure, therefore, they will not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year.  If you fear loss of money, God will soon enrich you from His bounty, if He so wills. Indeed God is All Knower, All Wise.
				قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلا بِالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَلا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ حَتَّى يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَغِرُونَ
	1264 572 6133 3390 713(1145,1146), 1741(2568,2569) 296 9:29			You shall fight those who do not believe in God and the Last Day and do not prohibit what God and His messenger have prohibited and do not follow the religion of truth from those amongst the people of the scripture, unless they pay their tribute willingly and humbly.
				وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُمْ بِأَفْوَهِهِمْ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ قَتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ
	1265 573 6134 3391 714(1147,1148,1149), 1742(2570,2571,2572) 9:30			And the Judeans said; Ozair is son of God while the Nazarenes said; the Healer is son of God. Such is their utterance, emulating the utterance of the unfaithful before them. God has cursed them. Why do they deviate?
				اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَهًا وَحِدًا لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ سُبْحَنَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
	1266 574 6135 3392 715(1150), 1743(2573)  297 9:31			They have taken their rabbis and their monks as lords besides God, as well as the Healer son of Mary, while in fact they were all commanded to worship the one god; there is no god except He.  Be He glorified, how could they set up partners for Him.
				يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلا أَنْ يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَفِرُونَ
	1267 575 6136 3393 716(1151,1152), 1744(2574,2575) 9:32			They wish to put out God's light with their mouths, however, God insists upon perfecting His light, although the unfaithful may dislike it.
				هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
	1268 576 6137 3394 9:33			He is the One who sent His messenger with guidance and the religion of truth in order to dominate all religions, although those who set up partners for god may dislike it.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الأحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلا يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
	1269 577 6138 3395 717(1153,1154), 1745(2576,2577) 9:34			O you faithful, indeed many religious leaders and scholars consume people's money illicitly and repel from the path of God. As for those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the cause of God, give them the news of a most painful suffering.
				يَوْمَ يُحْمَى عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَى بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ هَذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لأنْفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ
	1270 578 6139 3396 9:35			A day will come when they are overwhelmed by the fire of Gehenna, then their fronts, their sides and their backs are burned.  Here is what you hoarded for yourselves, therefore, taste the results of your hoarding.
				إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَبِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَوَتِ وَالأرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ فَلا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
	1271 579 6140 3397 718(1155,1156,1157), 1746(2578,2579,2580) 9:36			Indeed, the count of the months as far as God is concerned is twelve months in God's scripture since the day He created the vacua and matter; four of them are sacred. This is the eternal religion. You shall not transgress against your own souls.  You shall fight those who set up partners for god in the same manner they fight you. And you shall know that indeed God is with those who are god-fearing.
				إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا لِيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ أَعْمَلِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَفِرِينَ
	1272 580 6141 3398 719(1158,1159,1160), 1747(2581,2582,2583) 298 9:37			Indeed forgetting it increases disbelief. Thus, the unfaithful mislead therewith, they allow it one year and prohibit it the next year in order to nullify the number that God has prohibited and they permit what God has prohibited.  Adorned for them are their evil deeds.  And God does not guide the unfaithful.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انْفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الأرْضِ أَرَضِيتُمْ بِالْحَيوةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الآخِرَةِ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلا قَلِيلٌ

Are you more satisfied with this worldly life instead of the Hereafter?  The provisions of this worldly life are minuscule compared to the Hereafter.
				إِلا تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
	1274 582 6143 3400 721(1162), 1749(2585) 9:39			Unless you mobilize, He will make you suffer, a most painful suffering and will replace you with other people, and nothing will harm Him. And God is All Powerful over all things.
				إِلا تَنْصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَى وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Thereafter, God sent down His tranquility upon him and helped him with invisible armies and made the word of the unfaithful lowly as the word of God reigned supreme. And God is Almighty, All Wise.
				انْفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالا وَجَهِدُوا بِأَمْوَلِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
	1276 584 6145 3402 723(1168), 1751(2591) 299 9:41			All of you shall go forth light and heavy and strive in the cause of God with your money and yourselves.  This is better for you if you only knew.
				لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيبًا وَسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لاتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَكِنْ بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّقَّةُ وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَذِبُونَ
	1277 585 6146 3403 724(1169,1170), 1752(2592,2593) 9:42			If it were a quick gain and a short journey, they would have followed you; however, the long journey was too burdensome for them. They swear by God, if only they were able to go with you they would have even given up their life, however, God knows that indeed they are liars.
				عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْكَ لِمَ أَذِنْتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَذِبِينَ
	1278 586 6147 3404 725(1171), 1753(2594) 300 9:43			God has pardoned you, but why did you grant them permission without identifying who the truthful ones are and who the liars are?
				لا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ أَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَلِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ
	1279 587 6148 3405 726(1172,1173), 1754(2595,2596) 9:44			Those who believe in God and the Last Day never ask your permission if they should strive with their money and themselves. And God has full knowledge of the god-fearing ones.
				إِنَّمَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَارْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ
	1280 588 6149 3406 727(1174), 1755(2597) 9:45			Only those who do not believe in God and the Last Day ask your permission and their hearts are full of doubt and they are overwhelmed by their doubt.
				وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا الْخُرُوجَ لأعَدُّوا لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلَكِنْ كَرِهَ اللَّهُ انْبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ اقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْقَعِدِينَ
	1281 589 6150 3407 728(1175), 1756(2598) 9:46			Had they decided to go, everything would have been provided for them, however, God had the displeasure of their company and they were told to stay behind with the sedentary.
				لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُمْ مَا زَادُوكُمْ إِلا خَبَالا وَلأوْضَعُوا خِلالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّلِمِينَ
	1282 590 6151 3408 729(1176), 1757(2599) 301 9:47			Had they gone with you, they would have only spread corruption and they would have positioned themselves in your midst in order to spread infidelity and they would have sought those who would have lent their ears to them. And God has full knowledge of the unjust.
				لَقَدِ ابْتَغَوُا الْفِتْنَةَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَقَلَّبُوا لَكَ الأمُورَ حَتَّى جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَرِهُونَ
	1283 591 6152 3409 730(1177), 1758(2600) 9:48			Indeed they pursued infidelity in the past and made things difficult for you until the truth prevailed and God's command was established and they had to go along reluctantly.
				وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلا تَفْتِنِّي أَلا فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَفِرِينَ
	1284 592 6153 3410 9:49			And some of them said; give me permission and do not put me through the test. Be aware that they will fail the test. And indeed Gehenna is surrounding the unfaithful.
				إِنْ تُصِبْكَ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِنْ تُصِبْكَ مُصِيبَةٌ يَقُولُوا قَدْ أَخَذْنَا أَمْرَنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَيَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُمْ فَرِحُونَ
	1285 593 6154 3411 9:50			If something good comes your way they feel bad; and if a disaster strikes you, they say; we knew this was going to happen and they turn away, gloating.
				قُلْ لَنْ يُصِيبَنَا إِلا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلانَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
	1286 594 6155 3412 731(1178,1179), 1759(2601,2602) 9:51			Say; everything that happens to us is decreed for us by God, He is our Lord. And in God the faithful shall trust.
				قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلا إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ
	1287 595 6156 3413 732(1180), 1760(2603) 9:52			Say; are you waiting to see what will happen to us? Only one of the two good things will happen to us. We are also waiting to see what will happen to you, for it would be that either God afflicts you with a suffering from Him or you will suffer because of us. Therefore, wait and indeed we will wait along with you.
				قُلْ أَنْفِقُوا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَنْ يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنْكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا فَسِقِينَ
	1288 596 6157 3414 302 9:53			Say; go ahead be charitable, willingly or reluctantly, it will not be accepted from you, because indeed you are wicked people.
				وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلا أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلا يَأْتُونَ الصَّلوةَ إِلا وَهُمْ كُسَالَى وَلا يُنْفِقُونَ إِلا وَهُمْ كَرِهُونَ
	1289 597 6158 3415 733(1181), 1761(2604) 9:54			And their charity was not accepted because they indeed disbelieved in God and His messenger and did not come to the contact prayer except lazily and did not give to charity except reluctantly.
				فَلا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلا أَوْلادُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ بِهَا فِي الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَفِرُونَ
	1290 598 6159 3416 734(1182), 1762(2605) 9:55			Therefore, do not be impressed with their money and their children.   Indeed God wants to make them suffer therewith in this worldly life and to annihilate them in a state of disbelief.
				وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْكُمْ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ
	1291 599 6160 3417 735(1183), 1763(2606) 9:56			And they swear by God that indeed they belong with you, however, they do not belong with you, for they are divisive people.
				لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلا لَوَلَّوْا إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ
	1292 600 6161 3418 9:57			Had they found a sanctuary or a cave or a hole, they would have crawled in it and they would have done so quickly.
				وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ فَإِنْ أُعْطُوا مِنْهَا رَضُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَوْا مِنْهَا إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ
	1293 601 6162 3419 9:58			And amongst them are those who fault you about the distribution of charity, therefore, if they are given therefrom, they are content; however, if they are not given therefrom, they get upset.
				وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَرَسُولُهُ إِنَّا إِلَى اللَّهِ رَاغِبُونَ
	1294 602 6163 3420 736(1184,1185,1186,1187), 1764(2607,2608,269, 2610) 303 9:59			And no matter what, they should have been content with whatever God gave them through His messenger and should have said; God is sufficient for us; God will soon grant us from His bounty through His messenger. Indeed we are eagerly seeking God.
				إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَاِبْنِ السَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1295 603 6164 3421 737(1188,1189,1190), 1765(2611,2612,2613) 9:60			Indeed charities are reserved for the poor, the needy, the workers in charge of its expenditure, the broken hearted, to free the slaves, to forgive a debt, and in the cause of God and to spend on the refugees.  This is a duty decreed by God. And God is All Knowing, All Wise.
				وَمِنْهُمُ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ النَّبِيَّ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ أُذُنٌ قُلْ أُذُنُ خَيْرٍ لَكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَيُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	1296 604 6165 3422 738(1191,1192), 1766(2614,2615) 304 9:61			And among them are those who hurt the prophet by saying; he is all ears.  Say, it is good for you that he listens, he has faith in God and he is faithful to the believers and he is a mercy for those of you who have faith. As for those who hurt God's messenger, awaiting them is a most painful suffering.
				يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُرْضُوهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
	1297 605 6166 3423 739(1193,1194), 1767(2616,2617) 9:62			They swear by God for your sake in order to please you all, however, it is far more righteous to please God and His messenger, if they are faithful.
				أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ مَنْ يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَلِدًا فِيهَا ذَلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ
	1298 606 6167 3424 740(1195), 1768(2618) 9:63			Do they not know that whoever opposes God and His messenger, then indeed reserved for him is the fire of Gehenna wherein he abides forever? This is the worst humiliation.
				يَحْذَرُ الْمُنَفِقُونَ أَنْ تُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةٌ تُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلِ اسْتَهْزِئُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْرِجٌ مَا تَحْذَرُونَ
	1299 607 6168 3425 741(1196), 1769(2619) 9:64			The hypocrites fear that a sura may be revealed wherein their innermost thoughts are exposed. Say, go ahead and poke fun, God will surely manifest the very thing that you are trying to avoid.
				وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَبِاللَّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
	1300 608 6169 3426 742(1197), 1770(2620) 9:65			And if you ask them, they will say; we were only kidding and playing. Say, are you making fun of God and His Signs and His messenger?
				لا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ إِنْ نَعْفُ عَنْ طَائِفَةٍ مِنْكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
	1301 609 6170 3427 9:66			Do not make excuses for disbelieving after attaining faith. If We pardon a group of you, We will punish another group due to their proven wickedness.
				الْمُنَفِقُونَ وَالْمُنَفِقَتُ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنْكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ إِنَّ الْمُنَفِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَسِقُونَ
	1302 610 6171 3428 743(1198), 1771(2621) 305 9:67			The hypocrite men and women encourage one another to spread evil and to abandon righteous work and to be stingy. They have forgotten God and He has forgotten them. Indeed the hypocrites are wicked.
				وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَفِقِينَ وَالْمُنَفِقَتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ
	1303 611 6172 3429 744(1199,1200), 1772(2622,2623) 9:68			God has promised the hypocrite men and women as well as the unfaithful, the fire of Gehenna wherein they abide forever. It is their just requital. And God has cursed them. And reserved for them is an everlasting suffering.
				كَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالا وَأَوْلادًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا بِخَلاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِخَلاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُوا أُولَئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَلُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَسِرُونَ
	1304 612 6173 3430 9:69			You are just like those before you, they were even more powerful than you, wealthier and had more children, thereafter, they indulged themselves; you also indulge yourselves just like they did before you, and play just like they played. These are the ones who nullified their works in this world as well as in the Hereafter, and these are the losers.
				أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَهِيمَ وَأَصْحَبِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
	1305 613 6174 3431 745(1201), 1773(2624) 9:70			Did they not receive the news of those before them, the people of Noah, Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the dwellers of Median as well as the deviant ones? Their messengers went to them with clear proofs. But, it was not God who wronged them; it was they who wronged their own souls.
				وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلوةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَوةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ أُولَئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1306 614 6175 3432 746(1202,1203,1204), 1774(2625,2626,2627) 306 9:71			The faithful men and the faithful women exhort each other to do righteous work and to prohibit evil, to uphold the contact prayer and to give the cleansing charity and to obey God and His messenger. These are the ones whom God will soon shower them with His mercy. Indeed God is Almighty, All Wise.
				وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَتِ جَنَّتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأنْهَرُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّتِ عَدْنٍ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
	1307 615 6176 3433 747(1205,1206), 1775(2628,2629) 9:72			God has promised the faithful men and the faithful women paradises with flowing streams beneath them, wherein they abide forever as well as mansions in Gardens of Eden. However, God's approval is far greater. This is the greatest victory.
				يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَفِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
	1308 616 6177 3434 307 9:73			O you prophet, you shall strive against the unfaithful and the hypocrites and be stern against them.  And their abode is Gehenna, what a miserable abode.
				يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ فَإِنْ يَتُوبُوا يَكُ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ وَإِنْ يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الأرْضِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلا نَصِيرٍ
	1309 617 6178 3435 748(1207,1208,1209), 1776(2630,2631,2632) 9:74			They swear by God that they never said it, but they indeed uttered the word of disbelief and preferred disbelief over peace offering and they did their best not to attain it.  They would have taken revenge if it were not for the fact that God had enriched them from His bounty through His messenger.  If they repent, it would be better for them, but if they revert, God will make them suffer, a most painful suffering in this world as well as in the Hereafter.  Furthermore, there will be no friend or helper on the land for them.
				وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الصَّلِحِينَ
	1310 618 6179 3436 749(1210), 1777(2633)  9:75			And amongst them are those who make a covenant with God that if we are given from His bounty, we will indeed be charitable and will surely become one of the righteous.
				فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ بَخِلُوا بِهِ وَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُم مُعْرِضُونَ
	1311 619 6180 3437 9:76			However, as soon as He showered them from His bounty, they became stingy, turned away and became averse.
				فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ بِمَا أَخْلَفُوا اللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ

				الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَجِدُونَ إِلا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ سَخِرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	1314 622 6183 3440 752(1214), 1780(2637) 308 9:79			These are the ones who fault the faithful for giving too much and ridicule those who cannot afford it for giving what they can afford, God ridicules them and reserved for them is a most painful suffering.
				اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَسِقِينَ
	1315 623 6184 3441 753(1215,1216,1217), 1781(2638,2639,2640) 9:80			No matter if you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them, even if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times, God will not forgive them. This is because they disbelieved in God and His messenger. Moreover, God does not guide the wicked people.
				فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلافَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوا أَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَلِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالُوا لا تَنْفِرُوا فِي الْحَرِّ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا لَوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ
	1316 624 6185 3442 754(1218,1219), 1782(2641,2642) 9:81			The sedentary rejoiced in staying behind opposing God's messenger and were reluctant to strive with their money and themselves in the cause of God, and said, do not mobilize in such a heat.  Say, the fire of Gehenna is much hotter, if you could understand.
				فَلْيَضْحَكُوا قَلِيلا وَلْيَبْكُوا كَثِيرًا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
	1317 625 6186 3443 9:82			Consequently, they laughed a little and cried a lot, a just requital for what they earned.
				فَإِنْ رَجَعَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَى طَائِفَةٍ مِنْهُمْ فَاسْتَأْذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُلْ لَنْ تَخْرُجُوا مَعِيَ أَبَدًا وَلَنْ تُقَاتِلُوا مَعِيَ عَدُوًّا إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُمْ بِالْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَاقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْخَالِفِينَ
	1318 626 6187 3444 755(1220), 1783(2643) 309 9:83			Therefore, if God returns you to a group of them, they ask permission to go, you shall then say; you will never go with me and will not fight the enemy alongside me.  You were content to stay behind, therefore, stay with those who stayed behind.
				وَلا تُصَلِّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَاتَ أَبَدًا وَلا تَقُمْ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
	1319 627 6188 3445 756(1221), 1784(2644) 9:84			And you shall not attend the funeral of any of them and do not stand by his grave. Indeed they have disbelieved in God and His messenger and died in the state of wickedness.
				وَلا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَلُهُمْ وَأَوْلادُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَفِرُونَ
	1320 628 6189 3446 757(1222), 1785(2645) 9:85			And do not be impressed with their money and their children.  Indeed God wants to make them a source of torment for them in this world and annihilate them in a state of disbelief.
				وَإِذَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَجَهِدُوا مَعَ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُولُو الطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا ذَرْنَا نَكُنْ مَعَ الْقَعِدِينَ
	1321 629 6190 3447 758(1223), 1786(2646) 9:86			And when a sura is revealed advocating faith in God and strive with His messenger, the able ones amongst them ask your permission and say, please allow us to stay with the sedentary.
				رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لا يَفْقَهُونَ
	1322 630 6191 3448 9:87			They were happy to stay behind and their hearts were sealed while they did not understand.
				لَكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ جَهَدُوا بِأَمْوَلِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَأُولَئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
	1323 631 6192 3449 9:88			On the other hand, the messenger and those who attained faith along with him strove with their money and their lives.  And reserved for them is goodness, and these are the winners.
				أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ جَنَّتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأنْهَرُ خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

				وَجَاءَ الْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ الأعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ وَقَعَدَ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
	1325 633 6194 3451 760(1225), 1788(2648) 9:90			The excuse makers among the Arabs came to secure permission for themselves, while the sedentary rejected God and His messenger. The unfaithful amongst them will soon be afflicted with a most painful suffering.
				لَيْسَ عَلَى الضُّعَفَاءِ وَلا عَلَى الْمَرْضَى وَلا عَلَى الَّذِينَ لا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُوا لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْسِنِينَ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1326 634 6195 3452 761(1226,1227), 1789(2649,2650) 9:91			There is no blame on the weak and the ill and those who cannot afford to be charitable as long as they take the advice from God and His messenger. There is no blame on the righteous amongst them. And God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				وَلا عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوْا وَأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلا يَجِدُوا مَا يُنْفِقُونَ
	1327 635 6196 3453  9:92			As there is no blame on those who came to you asking to be carried along and you told them that you have no means to carry them, they turn away grief stricken with their eyes full of tears because they cannot find anything to offer.
				إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَاءُ رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ
	1328 636 6197 3454 762(1228), 1790(2651) 9:93			Only those are blamed who ask permission although they are rich.  They are happy to stay behind and God has sealed their hearts and they never learn.
				يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ قُلْ لا تَعْتَذِرُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَنَا اللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِكُمْ وَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَلِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Say, do not apologize; we will never believe you now that God has informed us all about you.  And God sees your actions and so does His messenger, then you will return to the Knower of all secrets and declarations and He will then inform you of everything you have done.
				سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
	1330 638 6199 3456 764(1231), 1792(2654) 9:95			They swear by God for your benefit so that when you return to them you may condone their action. You shall ignore them, for they are impure and their abode is Gehenna, a just requital for what they earned.
				يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنْ تَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَرْضَى عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
	1331 639 6200 3457 765(1232), 1793(2655) 9:96			They swear for your benefit that you may be satisfied with them; even if you are satisfied with them, God will never be satisfied with the wicked people.
				الأعْرَابُ أَشَدُّ كُفْرًا وَنِفَاقًا وَأَجْدَرُ أَلا يَعْلَمُوا حُدُودَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1332 640 6201 3458 766(1233,1234), 1794(2656,2657) 311 9:97			The Arabs are the worst in infidelity and hypocrisy and the most ignorant of what God has revealed to His messenger.  And God is All Knowing, All Wise.
				وَمِنَ الأعْرَابِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنْفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ الدَّوَائِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
	1333 641 6202 3459 767(1235), 1795(2658) 9:98			And amongst the Arabs are those who see their charity as a loss and they are waiting to see you besieged. They are the ones who are besieged by evil. And God is All Hearer, All Knower.
				وَمِنَ الأعْرَابِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنْفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَصَلَوَاتِ الرَّسُولِ أَلا إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَهُمْ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1334 642 6203 3460 768(1236,1237,1238,1239), 1796(2659,2660,2661, 2662)  9:99			And amongst the Arabs are those who believe in God and the Last Day and consider their charity as a means to get closer to God and to support the messenger.  Indeed, they are the close ones.  God will soon admit them into His mercy. Indeed God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				وَالسَّابِقُونَ الأوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الأنْهَرُ خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
	1335 643 6204 3461 769(1240), 1797(2663) 9:100			As for the early elites amongst the emigrants and the helpers and those who followed them in righteousness, God is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him and He has promised them paradises with flowing streams beneath them, wherein they abide eternally.  This is the greatest triumph.
				وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُمْ مِنَ الأعْرَابِ مُنَافِقُونَ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مَرَدُوا عَلَى النِّفَاقِ لا تَعْلَمُهُمْ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ سَنُعَذِّبُهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ
	1336 644 6205 3462 312 9:101			And among the hypocrite Arabs around you, as well as the dwellers of Medina, are those who are sticking to hypocrisy that you do not know, but We know them, We will punish them doubly, then they will face a tremendous suffering.
				وَآخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1337 645 6206 3463 770(1241,1242), 1798(2664,2665) 9:102			As for the others who confessed their sins and mixed good deeds with evil, God may accept their repentance.  Indeed God is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
				خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَلِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِمْ بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ صَلاتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
	1338 646 6207 3464 771(1243), 1799(2666) 313 9:103			Accept a charity from their money in order to purify and cleanse them and pray for them, for your prayer soothes them. And God is All Hearing, All Knowing.
				أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَأْخُذُ الصَّدَقَاتِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
	1339 647 6208 3465 772(1244,1245), 1800(2667,2668) 9:104			Do they not know that indeed God accepts repentance from His servants and accepts charity and that indeed God is Accepter of Repentance, the All Merciful.
				وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَسَتُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَلِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
	1340 648 6209 3466 773(1246), 1801(2669) 9:105			And say, go on and do whatever you are doing, God sees your work and so does His messenger and the faithful. And you will soon return to the Knower of all secrets and declarations, thereafter, He will inform you of everything you have done.
				وَآخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لأمْرِ اللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

				وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًا بَيْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِمَنْ حَارَبَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلا الْحُسْنَى وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَذِبُونَ
	1342 650 6211 3468 775(1249,1250), 1803(2672,2673) 314 9:107			As for those who turn the mosques into a harmful place as well as a center for disbelief and spreading dispute amongst the faithful and a source for those who have fought against God and His messenger in the past, and they swear that we did not mean anything but goodness, God is witnessing that indeed they are liars.
				لا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَقُومَ فِيهِ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ
	1343 651 6212 3469 776(1251), 1804(2674) 9:108			You shall never enter therein. Indeed entering a mosque based on righteousness from the day of inception is more correct.  In it, there are men who love to be pure. Furthermore, God loves those who are pure.
				أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَى تَقْوَى مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَى شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَانْهَارَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَاللَّهُ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّلِمِينَ
	1344 652 6213 3470 777(1252,1253), 1805(2675,2676) 315 9:109			Is the one who establishes his foundation on fear of God and His approval better or the one who builds his foundation on a flood plain that could crumble into the fire of Gehenna? And God does not guide the wicked people.
				لا يَزَالُ بُنْيَانُهُمُ الَّذِي بَنَوْا رِيبَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلا أَنْ تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
	1345 653 6214 3471 778(1254), 1806(2677) 9:110			The foundation they have established will be a source of doubt in their hearts until their hearts stop beating.  And God is All Knowing, All Wise.
				إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَى مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَلَهُمْ بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا فِي التَّوْرَةِ وَالإنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ وَمَنْ أَوْفَى بِعَهْدِهِ مِنَ اللَّهِ فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذِي بَايَعْتُمْ بِهِ وَذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
	1346 654 6215 3472 779(1255,1256,1257), 1807(2678,2679,2680) 9:111			Indeed God has taken the lives and money of the faithful in exchange for the Paradise. They fight in the cause of God, then they either kill or get killed, this is His truthful promise in the Torah, the Injeel and the Quran. And who is more faithful to his promise than God? Therefore, you shall have the good news of the trade you have made. And this is the greatest triumph.
				التَّائِبُونَ الْعَابِدُونَ الْحَامِدُونَ السَّائِحُونَ الرَّاكِعُونَ السَّاجِدُونَ الآمِرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّاهُونَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَالْحَافِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ اللَّهِ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
	1347 655 6216 3473 780(1258), 1808(2681) 9:112			They are repenting, worshiping, praising, meditating, bowing, prostrating, enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil, and guardians of God's limits. And give good news to the faithful.
				مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَى مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَبُ الْجَحِيمِ
	1348 656 6217 3474 316 9:113			And it is not befitting for the prophet and the faithful to ask forgiveness for those who set up partners for god, even if they are relatives, after it is clearly evident that they are indeed destined to be the dwellers of the Inferno.
				وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَهِيمَ لأبِيهِ إِلا عَنْ مَوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ إِنَّ إِبْرَهِيمَ لأوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ

				وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَاهُمْ حَتَّى يُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ مَا يَتَّقُونَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

				لَقَدْ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأنْصَارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ فِي سَاعَةِ الْعُسْرَةِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّهُ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ
	1352 660 6221 3478 784(1264), 1812(2687) 9:117			Indeed God has accepted the repentance from the prophet and the Emigrants and the Helpers, those who followed him during the difficult time, when the hearts of a group of them almost wavered; He then accepted their repentance.  Indeed He was All Kind, All Merciful towards them.
				وَعَلَى الثَّلاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنْ لا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
	1353 661 6222 3479 785(1265,1266), 1813(2688,2689) 9:118			Also the three who stayed behind until the spacious land became so straitened and so did their own souls and they realized that there is no refuge except in God, consequently, He accepted their repentance in order for them to be readmitted. Indeed God is the Accepter of Repentance, the All Merciful.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّدِقِينَ
	1354 662 6223 3480 786(1267), 1814(2690) 9:119			O you faithful, you shall fear God and be honest.
				مَا كَانَ لأهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِنَ الأعْرَابِ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَلا يَرْغَبُوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لا يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلا نَصَبٌ وَلا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا يَطَئُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَيْلا إِلا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
	1355 663 6224 3481 787(1268,1269,1270), 1815(2691,2692,2693)  9:120			It is not befitting for the dwellers of Medina and the Arabs who live in its suburbs to abandon the messenger of God, nor shall they give priority to themselves over him. This is because indeed neither thirst nor hardship nor hunger that they suffer in the cause of God nor taking a single step to enrage the unfaithful nor inflicting any hardship on the enemy that is not recorded as a good deed. Indeed God will never put to waste the reward for the do-gooders.
				وَلا يُنْفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلا كَبِيرَةً وَلا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
	1356 664 6225 3482 788(1271), 1816(2694) 9:121			Neither any charity they give; be it small or large, nor is there a valley they cross without being recorded for them; and God rewards them for the best of what they do.
				وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً فَلَوْلا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ لِيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ وَلِيُنْذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
	1357 665 6226 3483 9:122			Not all the faithful shall mobilize. Some from each group shall remain behind to study the faith and warn people when they come back that they may be righteous.
				يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
	1358 666 6227 3484 789(1272), 1817(2695) 9:123			O you faithful, you shall fight the unfaithful that attack you and let them find you stern. You shall know that God is with the god-fearing.
				وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَذِهِ إِيمَانًا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
	1359 667 6228 3485 9:124			And when a sura is revealed, then there are those among them who ask whose faith was increased?  Truly as for the faithful, it does increase their faith and they rejoice.
				وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا إِلَى رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كَفِرُونَ
	1360 668 6229 3486 9:125			As for those with a disease in their hearts, it increases impurity upon their existing impurity and they die as unfaithful.
				أَوَلا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لا يَتُوبُونَ وَلا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
	1361 669 6230 3487 9:126			Do they not see that they are indeed being tested once or twice every year, and then they do not even repent or take heed?
				وَإِذَا مَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌۭ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَىٰكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱنصَرَفُوا۟ صَرَفَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ
	1362 670 6231 3488 790(1273), 1818(2696) 317 9:127			And when a sura is revealed they look at one another; does anyone see you?! They then leave. God has diverted their hearts for indeed they are people who do not understand.
